Paola and her friend Elaine visit Rio de Janeiro in Brazil during summer break. Paola and Elaine spend an afternoon getting fascinated by Christ the Redeemer which is one of the seven wonders of the world and the fourth largest statue of Jesus Christ.
Paola and Elaine then head to a local tutoring club to learn the world famous Salsa dance. Salsa is a Latin dance form and music genre. Salsa dance form is a mixture of Cuban dances mambo, pachanga and rumba, as well as American dances swing and tap. The tutor shares with Paola and Elaine that Salsa choreography needs strong coordination and teamwork. Paola and Elaine are amazed to see the dancers move together in perfect synchronization and drummers keep a steady beat that energizes the group. The dancers supported each other and worked together to create a beautiful performance. Everyone had a specific role to play, and the success of the group depended on the collaboration of all members.
Paola learned the value of teamwork and the importance of supporting each other. She appreciated the power of collaboration and the impact it can have on achieving goals. When did you work on a team to accomplish something? What was the outcome?
