The Pao family visits Iran to experience Persian culture in the capital city of Tehran. The Pao family rents a vacation home situated beside a local Persian family home consisting of Aziz Papa, Jasmin Mama and their child Iqbal.
The gracious neighbors invite the Pao family to spend the day with them and savor a Persian home cooked meal. Pao-Mama and Paola offer Jasmin a helping hand with cooking dinner. Paolo and Pao-Papa decide to join Aziz and Iqbal for grocery shopping at the local bazaar. Aziz and Iqbal introduce them to the rich variety of foods the Persian cuisine offers. Iqbal asks Paolo what Paola and his favorite foods are. Paolo shares that he loves chicken and rice dishes, and Paola loves baked dishes. Iqbal introduces Paolo to a Persian delicacy named Tahchin which is a rice cake baked with yogurt, saffron, eggs and chicken fillets. They return home with all ingredients, cook together, and enjoy the wholesome dinner.
Paolo experiences hospitality and love through sharing a delicious meal with family friends. When did you explore a new cuisine? How did you like it?
